Quality Assurance Analyst

My goal as a Game Designer is to recreate the beauty of nature within a virtual world. My focus is to work collaboratively and efficiently in a group to create an amazing piece of art.I have had a passion for video games, technology and art for as long as I can remember. When I am not designing I enjoy streaming, drawing, cosplaying, and playing with my two cats Jeffrey and Vi.

Epic Games - Fortnite Creative Mode

Quality Assurance Tester and Analyst

My Quality Assurance journey started with Epic Games when I joined as a QA Game Tester back in 2020. I was a part of the team from Chapter 2 Season 4 through Chapter 3 Season 3. I started on the Creative Game Mode QA Team where I was tasked daily to focus on specific areas such as regression checks for new patches, quality of collaborative maps, and ensuring top performing maps met Epic Quality standards. After some time I moved over to the Battle Royale Game Mode QA Team. I quickly became the go to person for things related specifically to regression and PlayStation 4.As a Game Tester one of my most fond memories include working on the BTS “Dynamite” Creative Map. I, along with my team of testers, checked various aspects of the map such as graphical issues with assets, ensuring that the in game trivia game functioned properly, and tackled various audio issues that came up.After a year of being a Game Tester I was asked to join the Creative Game Mode QA Analyst Team. During my time on that team I continued focusing on regression work where I would now have a hand in writing the test cases that ensured any new assets added to the Creative Mode had no effect on existing assets. I learned various skills such as how to write test cases, work in a two week sprint timeline, effectively risk assess new features, and task/manage various Game Testers with test runs.

Discord - Activities

Quality Assurance Analyst

After my contract time with Epic Games I joined Discord in 2022 as a QA Analyst working on Discord Activities. My time at Discord rapidly advanced my QA Analyst knowledge as I was the sole Analyst working on 17+ titles. Some of these titles include Wordle, Watch Together, 12 Bullets to Midnight, Spark Hero Tactics and more. From cozy co op party games to a fast paced first person shooter, I was able to have my hands on several different genres of games. One of the most notable activities that I had a hand in was Wordle. Bringing such a big name to Discord was quite the adventure.I was responsible for leading over 500 smoke tests and deployments to production over the 3 year period I worked at Discord. During my time I was responsible for leading a team of 3rd party testers for daily testing, establishing best testing practices and scheduling out test plans. I was also responsible for building a suite of test cases from the ground up during active game development for several titles. I am proficient in various testing methodologies such as regression, performance and adhoc testing.Below is a full list of Activities that I worked:
• 12 Minutes to Midnight
• Blazing 8s
• Bobble League
• Bobble Bash
• Checkers in the Park
• Chess in the Park
• Farm Merge Valley
• Know What I Meme
• Land-io
• Letter League
• Lofi
• Playscape
• Poker Night
• Sketch Heads
• Spark - Hero Tactics

Apocalypse Meow

Environment Artist
Level Designer

Apocalypse Meow was chosen to represent SCAD for the E3 2018 Student Showcase.
My responsibilities included set dressing the environment and creating small environmental props. During the level design process it was my job to ensure that the art stayed consistent and that game play remained entertaining. Small props bring life and story telling to an environment and I had aid in creating these. Outside of the game engine I kept our team on track each week as Scrum Master. Using the Agile and Scrum Methodology taught me how to properly manage time and efficient work with a group of people.

Global Game Jam 2018 Winner of Best Art
Robbie is a highly atmospheric 3D fixed camera side scroller. Robbie, an artificial intelligence robot, must transmit his pulse energy to other near by sentient robots that were thrown out and forgotten about. This dense city is full of winding passages and alleyways that Robbie must explore to find his robot pals. The Autonomous Drone Patrol are a government robot program enacted to prevent unauthorized robot activity. Robbie and his friends must avoid being detected and deactivated for good.
My responsibilities for the project included modeling and texturing several of the buildings, lighting, and creating the game trailer. I was also tasked with set dressing the environment. SCAD - ESRI Collaboration

Environment Artist

Working with several talented students in a collaborative class for 10 weeks, we designed a prototype for ESRI using the Microsoft Hololens and the HTC Vive. Using their City Engine we were tasked with making data interactive through hand gestures and voice commands. Our prototype focused on how to display information to an average consumer in an effective and simple way.
I was responsible for the different needed assets including modeling of the city, creating the weather elements, and overall refining of the models. I worked closely with the AR and VR programmers to make sure assets were optimized in the best way for the specific hardware being used. Marketing this product towards an average consumer who may not have knowledge in VR/AR caused many design iterations. Ensuring the ease of the product and overall comprehension was a large task of mine as well.
Three other students and I traveled to Washington DC to present the prototype to ESRI at their Federal GIS Conference 2017.
